Summary: C Walk - Memorial Day - Walk, Ceremony, Dinner and Bus

This is a special - Memorial Day Walk. Following the walk there will be a Ceremony at approximately 16.30 followed by a 3 course meal in The Glenmalure Lodge at 17.00. The bus will return to Dublin at 19:00. By joining this walk you are also agreeing to participate in the Ceremony and Dinner. The cost for this Walk and Dinner is €57.00 (€18.50 for the bus and €38.50 for the 3 course dinner).

Bookings will open earlier than usual at 19:00 on 18th April 2026 and will CLOSE on 3rd May 2026.

We will join the WW at the Drumgoff recreation area and take a forest path to emerge at the Drumgoff Gap, crossing the road to ascend Mullach and onto the beautiful Fananeerin ridge. We descend the ridge and join the WW again back to the Glenmalure Lodge.

This is a glorious walk, for a special day, with 360 views over the Glenmalure valley towards the Carlow border.

The climbs are gradual so suitable for all.

While it may dry out before the day it was muddy in parts on the recce so poles and maybe gaiters a must.

Other Information

Bring a change of clothes, in a separate bag, for dinner, we will drop them off at the Glenmalure Inn enroute to the start of the walk.
