Description 

Meet at Heuston Station 10:00, head up to Museum and walk through grounds to Kilmainham Gate, Coffee break in Loaf opposite Gaol.

Continue up Inchicore Rd to the workers' houses built by Great South Western Railway.  Have a ramble there and the move up to The Ranch (also GSWR houses, but smaller) on fringes of Ballyfermot.

Then head over to the Irish National War Memorial Gardens, where tbe many roses should be in full flower. walk the linear walk westward along the Liffey, reach  Chapelizod and cross the bridge to the Mullingar House, to which there are significant references in Finnegan's Wake.
