Description 

Take the 11:05 a.m. Sligo train to Kilcock. Walk back along the Royal Canal to  Maynooth for lunch/refreshments in the Shoda restaurant.

The canal walk is particularly attractive at this time of the year with the spring flowers in bloom and wildlife in abundance.
