Summary

Glenealy-Deputy’s Pass Forest Loop Walk

Length km:  12km  Climb m:  250m    Duration hrs: 4hours

Description

We start at Glenealy Village Hall ( just outside the village) where there is plenty of free parking. Walk back down into the village, cross road and over pedestrian railway bridge. After a short walk through a small housing estate we join a forest track and continue in a southwesterly direction for approximately 2km. We enter Deputy’s Pass Forest through the back entrance and turn right to join the popular 4km loop walk of this Oak forest. We exit the forest where we entered but after approximately 500m we turn right which brings us along a 2km track with nice views (hopefully!) of the surrounding countryside. Upon reaching a minor road we turn left and make our way back to Glenealy.

.
