Description Classic loop walk, exiting Ballinastoe car park, west through Ballinastoe Woods, veering East and North via JB Malone Memorial, continuing on Wicklow Way, on to summit White Hill and Djouce, then descending via the Wicklow Way to Powerscourt Paddock forest. We handrail the forest before veering broadly South to re-enter the forest and back to the car park. 

Terrain & River Crossings

Terrain very sound on the recce, forest and mountain tracks, some boardwalk, a little stony in some parts. Heather in places, which can be tricky for sensitive bare shins! One river crossing, but water level very low on the recce. 

Gear Recommendations 

Poles recommended. No needs for gaiters as per the recce, but a very dry spell.
