Incident to report?

(If yes, complete Accident / Medical Incident Report Form)

Summary - Duff Hill, Mullaghcleevaun and Cleevaun Lough
Normal PickUps are available; planned .gpx attached

Length km: 12.1   Climb m: 605     Duration hrs: 5:55

NOTE: despite the statistics this must be considered as quite a challenging B walk due to terrain

Description  From the Military Road south of the Sally Gap we climb via Lavarnia Gap to Duff Hill.  We then head towards Mullaghacleevaun East but veer off to climb Mullaghcleevaun itself.  We descend to the shores of the rarely visited Cleevaun Lough for lunch.  We walk along the lake and climb up to Mullaghcleevaun East.  We then descend to the Military Road under Carrigshouk.  We don't plan a Pub Stop given finishing location.

Terrain & River Crossings

The terrain throughout varies from rough mountain ground to rudimentary tracks.  Depending on the weather some sections can be very boggy and quite sapping.  On the recce our efforts were well rewarded with 360 views all around the Wicklow and Dublin Mountains.  Few small streams; no river crossings.
