Description  From The Vee we climb Sugarloaf Hill and hopefully get some views of Bay Lough on the way.  We then proceed along the ridge to summit Knockmealdown - the highest peak in the Knockmealdown Range and the County High Point of Co Waterford.  We cross the modest summit of Knockmoylan on our way back towards The Vee.  Finally we'll detour slightly to visit the Grubb Memorial said to be the grave of Samuel Grubb - a local landowner who died in 1921 and requested to be buried "standing up" where he view his lands and his beloved Tipperary.

.
Terrain & River Crossings

Decent mountain tracks and some waymarked trails.  No river crossings.

Gear Recommendations

Be prepared for all weathers regardless of the forecast.  Waterproofs required. Gaiters and poles recommended
