Starting from the Wicklow Gap CP the route climbs up to Turlough Hill Res and then to Camaderry Top. It then descends to Glendalough arriving firstly to the Upper Lake and later passing the lower lake to finish in the coffee shop behind the hotel. This is a high ridge walk with beautiful views of the Wicklow Mountains.

Should the weather not oblige the plan is to loop the reservoir and use st Kevin's way through Glenassan to arrive at the monastic settlement and coffee shop
