Summary
This walk includes both the Seamus Heaney and Waterfall Loop Walks

A forest trail, we start at the Inner Carpark, and join the first part of the Seamus Heaney walk. Continuing on past the Tiglin Centre we join the Waterfall walk before re-joining and completing the Seamus Heaney walk.

The pace will be a C pace.  



Terrain & River Crossings

Good forest tracks and paths. Loose stones & boulders around waterfall

Gear Recommendations 

Usual all weather gear. Walking poles recommended for boulder section near waterfall.

Meeting Point Details/Link

Meet at the INNER Carpark @ 09.45 to start walk at 10.00. The Inner carpark is about 2kms along the narrow avenue in from the road with lots of speed-bumps!. 

Other Information 
The Seamus Heaney trail is named after a forest trail that was frequented by Seamus Heaney when he lived in Ashford. At different points along the trail there are benches with short quotations from his poetry. Do bring your favourite Heaney or other favourites if you'd like to share.
