An environmental walk through the Deputy's Pass Nature Reserve, Glenealy.
Janic Schulte, Education Guide with the Wicklow National Parks and Wildlife Service, will introduce us to this woodland habitat.
Description: "Meet the Trees"
The Deputy's Pass (47 hectare) nature reserve is notable in Wicklow for its pockets of native trees, in particular Irish Oaks. Our route will follow forest roads and tracks through mixed woodland. Janic joins us for one section of the walk. We will seek out flora and fauna, common to this woodland habitat in the Autumn. There is the opportunity to learn about the Wicklow National Park and Wildlife Service's continuous woodland management strategy for this nature reserve.
Gear Recommendations : Usual layers and waterproofs.
