Incident to report (yes/no)?

(If yes, complete Accident / Medical Incident Report Form)

Summary

A walk with wonderful sweeping views: Starting at Trooperstown Car Park, beside the Avonmore River, through Trooperstown Wood, we summit the Trooperstown Hill, then head towards local road, before using Clara Vale wood/Avonmore Way, taking us to Clara Vale school/bridge, we then climb past Clara Loop car park, up and across to Boot Hill, and then looping back to our start point at Trooperstown Car Park.

Length km: 18  Climb m: 608    Duration hrs: 5 aprox

Description

This walk is a mixture of forest and hills, with Boot Hill and Trooperstown the two main climbing sections, the rest is relatively flat. The road up from Clara Vale bridge can be deceptively challenging, but doesn't last too long.
Terrain & River Crossings

There are no river crossings of any note and underfoot conditions should be comfortable enough.

Gear Recommendations

Usual selection; shorts or short sleeve tops not recommended as ferns etc were very overgrown at time of reccies.
