Description: From entrance to Miners Way we walk along the upper  lake  to Miners Village and commence ascent along the zig zag path by the  gushing Glenealo river to the foot bridge over the river. Continue on to join the boardwalk and descend along the Spinc ridge to the Poulanass waterfall and back to the upper lake carpark. Beautiful views all the way

Gear Recommendations. Sticks are a  must on this hike. 

Other Information.  We are doing the White route counter-clockwise.The terrain along the zig zags is challenging The board walk is in great shape in most places. It may be busy and so we will obey boardwalk "etiquette" whereby as a large group we will remain on the boardwalk even if we are descending.

Please note: if the forecast is for a lot of rain or strong winds we will not do this planned hike and likely move to the relative shelter of Crone Wood to Boranaraltry Bridge-if we do this there will not be a Kilmacanogue pickup.
