Trooperstown Hill - Boot Hill - Clara Vale - Kirikee - Shay Elliott - Glenmalure

Description 

Starting on a minor road (Avonmore Way) we take the gentle ascent up Trooperstown Hill, then the steeper descent down before turning right at the base and proceeding to Boot Hill. From here we head in the direction of the Bread & Butter Stone cutting into the right to join forest track, followed by a short road walk to Clara Vale Bridge. Carrying on across the bridge and up the steep ( but short!) road we immediately cross the R755 and take the lane by the side of the Old Post Office. This is followed by a 1km road walk before we turn right into forest that leads to the base of Kirikee. After ascending Kirikee we descent via Hatters Ditch then cross the road to Shay Elliott CP. Our final stretch takes us on forest tracks to Glenmalure.
