Summary:  Heuston Station to National War Memorial Gardens, river walk to Chapelizod, enter Phoenix Park, walk to Farmleigh House and then to Phoenix Park Visitor Centre where we take shuttle bus to Park Gate Street, short walk to Luas stop. 

Length km:11.5   Climb m:flat walk with one short hill climb on entering Phoenix Park    Duration hrs: 4.5 hours

Description: Meet at Heuston Station, walk to National War Memorial Gardens, scenic river walk along the Liffey to Chapelizod where we enter the Phoenix Park via Park Lane.  Walk to Farmleigh House and stop for lunch.  Picnic tables/Cafe (toilets in Cafe) at lunch stop.  Walk from Farmleigh to Phoenix Park Visitor Centre where we take Phoenix Park Shuttle bus to Park Gate Street.  The Shuttle runs on the hour and half hour and accepts free travel cards.  Short walk from Park Gate Street to Museum stop on Luas Red Line.
