Summary: Shay Elliott carpark to Laragh via Derrybawn Ridge.
Note: Walk cancelled as there are insufficient numbers to order a bus

Description: Starting at Shay Elliott carpark we follow a forest track to ascend Cullentragh  and Braigue Mountains. At the top of Braigue we turn right to follow the track for a short distance before we turn right again to cross Derrybawn Ridge. We will have lunch at the top of the ridge to enjoy the stunning panoramic views, weather permitting. After lunch we descend Ferny Hollow to pick up the forest path, along which there are more lovely views. This path leads us back to Laragh for some well earned refreshments in Lynam's.

Terrain & River Crossings

Soft underfoot. No mucky areas on the recce. Some rocky terrain. The climbs are all very gradual. No river crossings.
