Description

From Lackan car park, we take the Mass path up through the forest until we meet open ground. Hand-railing the forest, we then 'slowly' climb Sorrel Hill, where on a clear day we are treated to panoramic views. After a brief stop here we descend to Ballynultagh Gap via a peaty & rocky path. Following lunch we have a short road walk before re-entering the forest to meet up with the Mass path and back to Zellers for refreshments.

Sorrel Hill is a steepish climb, but we'll take it at a C pace

Forest & mountain tracks with a 1.5km road walk.

Gear Recommendations

Usual gear. Walking Poles & plenty of water recommended.

Please bring HI-Vis for road walk

As we will be using the M50, there will be NO pick-up at Kilmacanogue.

Please note 9.00am bus pick-up time @ Glenageary. As the B group will also be leaving at 9.00am please ensure you're on the correct bus!
