Summary  Meet the Trees
Social walkers will enjoy an introduction to Knocksink's  woodland habitat by Janic Schulte, Education Guide with the Wicklow National Parks and Wildlife Service. 
Length km: 5km  Climb m:  80m  Duration hrs: 2 and a half hours. 

Description 

Knocksink Wood Nature Reserve is familiar to many Trekkers who enjoy social walks. This environmental walk takes us slowly through the beautiful wood. Janic, our guide will add to our knowledge of flora and fauna. We will hear about how Knocksink is managed to transition to being a nature reserve in which native tree species thrive.

Terrain & River Crossings:  Mostly roadways and forest tracks. There are some very short sections of stony ground/tree roots and some short inclines/declines.

No river crossings. 


Gear Recommendations 

Usual Autumn layers, waterproofs and sturdy footwear. If you use poles, it is  recommended that you bring them along.
